Forever scarred by the stranger in the dark.
A boy
Left alone with his nightmares.
A child
Afraid of her own father.
For we truly are good.
A man
Waiting for his last day.
A girl
going to the bathroom after family dinner.
A dog
Put to sleep for being a dog.
Thus we are just.
A child
Giving his life to protect his home.
A man
Forced to kill or be killed.
A country
Destroyed for being what we are not.
Because we are merciful.
