I could live a lie.

Silence my reason,
Cage my soul.

Just to live a lie.
The lie that you breathe.
The lie that you feed.
The lie that you need.

The lie that was the truth.
For I believed,
And I fought,
And I cried.

All for a truth that would now be a lie.
For I learned,
And I saw.
I woke up.

To a truth that was once a lie.
A truth I could not see,
Could not feel,
Could not believe.

Because I was living a lie.
But my heart saw a light,
My reason found a voice,
My soul broke free.

And the lie became the truth.
And the truth became the lie.

I could have lived a lie.
The lie I fought for,
The lie I believed in,
The lie that fooled our hearts.

Before I learned I couldn't live a lie.
