Now hear my tale
So sad but true
Of Bonny Lass
The one that flew
For none had known
A maid so pure
As Bonny Lass
And that's for sure
Eyes of sky
And hair of sun
Had Bonny Lass
My only one
No missing teeth
No boils or warts
Had Bonny Lass
Who stole my heart
good to this point
I watched her days
I watched her nights
Bonny Lass (needs work, and a line and a half)
But out of reatch
I could not touch
My Bonny Lass
It cost too much
Something comes here where our hero finds the impossible happening -she knowing who he is, talking to him, spending a day with him. Also should somehow address the problem with her social status.
Her joyous laugh
Then turned to smile
As Bonny Lass said
"Oh, stay awhile."
Something comes here where our hero gets lucky, then finds out he was played, then gets sad because of it, then gets over it. Possibly she having an embarrassing ending with her game.
-ney!
Old Bonny Lass
I have one thing left to say: (needs a line and a half, also doesn't fit the pace)
No tears, no cries
I don't weep for thee
Because my Bonny Lass
Is now the open sea! (doesn't fit the pace)
