The rain starts to fall
Drop by drop
Down through the gathering clouds
On to the green grass hill
Where a fire burns bright and warm
Standing strong against the falling rain
Deflecting the cold, drop by drop
As winds start to rise the rain gets heavy
Drop by drop the water falls
To form a pond, to grow into an ocean
The fire struggles with fading strength
Earth is lost, trees are broken
As the dark water draws near
Drop by drop
Drop by drop the rain continues
Closing in on the dying flame
Till nothing is left, the fire is out
All that remains is water and wind
The black sea
The steel grey sky
And the last, lonely drop
