Pain without a reason
Tearing me apart from the inside
Fear without a focus
Trapping me into darkness
Whispers in my head
Pushing me to madness
But from the pain
Rises my resolve
From the fear
Comes my tenacity
From the whispers
Emerges my compassion
Why should I change
To fit their standards
Why won’t this form of mine
Fit in the pattern of the world
Which of me must die
For the rest to finally belong
Hold on to madness
Maybe it’ll turn into greatness
Grasp the strands of uncertainty
Perhaps they’ll turn into stability
But the mad only die alone
Forgotten without a footnote
And the uncertain break apart
Falling to their own impossibility
Hold on to madness
Hold on to madness
Hold on to madness
Maybe it'll turn into greatness
